Safehire.ai partners with TPN to bring Digital Risk Screening to South African schools

Safehire.ai has partnered with TPN to make its Digital Risk Screening (DRS) service available to TPN clients from October 2026.

TPN has an established role in screening for South African schools. Safehire.ai enables TPN to offer a much wider spectrum of background checking.

The problem today is that most South African schools rely on two types of checking when recruiting:

• Formal checks such as police clearance, NRSO, and references only show whether someone has a conviction.
• Informal Google or social media searches are narrow, subjective and easy for a candidate to show you what they want you to see.

Neither, on its own, provides the fullest possible picture schools need for peace of mind and confidence when making a hiring or promotion decision.

DRS addresses both limitations. It adds a POPIA compliant search across lawfully accessible open source information on the surface, deep and dark web, within a defined and proportionate scope. AI helps search and organise the information. Human analysts then check identity, relevance and context before findings are documented and shared.

From October 2026, schools already using TPN will be able to start using DRS through their existing account.
