At the core of Safehire.ai are two long-standing friends and mission-driven founders - Simon Holden (CEO) and Sean Lumley (COO).

Their partnership was forged over two decades ago at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. Today, they lead Safehire.ai with the same values that shaped their military careers: integrity, trust, and a relentless commitment to protecting others.

Simon Holden
Chief Executive Officer
Simon is a former British Army officer and senior leader in UK education, where he held executive roles in top schools. He later founded CyBur, a cybersecurity company,bringing real-world experience in cyber risk, threat intelligence, and safeguarding. His background spans compliance, governance, risk, and leadership - shaped by service, sharpened in schools, and now applied to AI-driven safer recruitment.
Sean Lumley
Chief Operating Officer
Sean served as an Officer in the British Army before becoming an entrepreneur founding and scaling businesses in international development and cybersecurity. The first was TorchlightGroup (now TAG International), a Fasttrack 100 and a FT 1000 company. Then CybSafe, an industry-leading behavioral risk platform dedicated to helping organizations measure and reduce human cyber risk. Sean is also a thought leader in long term sustainability of independent schools.
Both serve as governors and trustees for various schools and charitable organisations

Their combined experience in strategic leadership, safeguarding, and business innovation and product delivery provides a strong foundation for Safehire.ai ’s mission to enhance safer recruitment.
