We could all conjure up examples of what happens when automation is pushed too far: automation may tell you what happened, but struggle to explain why.
A candidate may have a record that looks concerning on paper - but without context, we could lose the story, and with it, a decay in fairness which will reinforce bias or misinterpretation. This starts to move less of a technical flaw and more a moral one.
I guess we could say safeguarding decisions should not exist in code; but rather in our judgement, accountability, and context.

2. Augmentation makes humans faster, not redundant
In minutes, AI can now do serious heavy lifting: gather, analyse, and flag insights from data. This used to take days or even weeks. That’s incredible and an unprecedented gain.
Be excited, but remember that this doesn’t mean the human professional (you) disappears. It means your time shifts - from manual processing to meaningful evaluation.
Think of AI as an intelligent co-pilot that takes on the low level non-creative tasks that helps you decide better.
